Overview
Design Tradition Architects is a multidisciplinary practice focused on vernacular architecture, heritage restoration, and contextual spatial design. The website was built to showcase their expansive project archive through an immersive, aesthetic that balances structural elegance with modern digital design.
The challenge
Translating an extensive architectural portfolio into a fluid, visual-first digital experience. The practice needed a platform that could handle high-resolution imagery, detailed project blueprints, and editorial case studies without compromising performance or visual precision.
The approach
Designed an architectural, grid-driven interface in Figma using neutral tones, strong structural lines, and restrained typography to keep focus on the physical spaces. Built with Nextjs and Tailwind CSS to implement lazy-loaded gallery layouts, fluid page transitions, and quick client-side filtering by project typology.
The outcome
A clean, high-impact digital portfolio that elevates the studio's practice, seamlessly displaying residential, commercial, and restoration projects for potential clients and industry collaborators.
